I’m chasing those fleeting moments when the familiar suddenly feels remarkable.

Strange light suddenly spilling across a canyon at the end of the day. A storm rolling over the desert. A lonely road disappearing into the distance. Unexpected colors that appear for only a few minutes before the landscape shifts again.

That’s what I’m chasing.

I make photographs with character—images that balance beauty and darkness, color and shadow, the breathtaking and the unsettling. Beauty doesn’t always have to be pretty, and darkness doesn’t always have to be ugly. Sometimes, it’s the contrast between the two that makes an image worth remembering.
